Depending on the technique chosen, results can last from 1–3 years on average. A 6–8 week touch-up appointment is required to complete the brow process — and that touch-up is included in the price.

Both create hair-like strokes, but microblading cuts the strokes with a hand blade while nano brows are drawn with a single ultra-fine machine needle. Nano is gentler on the skin, works on most skin types including oily skin (where microblading tends to blur), and typically heals crisper and lasts longer — up to 2 years. That’s why Chela offers nano brows rather than microblading.

At your appointment Chela assesses your skin type, existing brow hair and the finish you want, and recommends the technique that will heal best on you.

A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the appointment, and most clients find the sensation very tolerable — closer to light scratching than pain. Many relax enough to chat the whole way through.

Nano brows are suitable for most skin types, including oily skin, and work best on skin with no previous brow tattoo; ombre powder works well on all skin types. Brows appear darker and bolder for the first several days, then soften and lightly flake as they heal over the first two weeks. The colour settles over about six weeks, and the included touch-up perfects any areas that healed lighter. Full aftercare instructions are provided at your appointment.
